Radial variations to wood anatomical and chemical properties in eight poplar clones

Wood properties are crucial for the development and application of poplar clones. Here, effects clone age on anatomical chemical were analyzed in eight clones (clone 50, Zhonglin46, 108, 36, N179, Danhong, Sangju, Nanyang) from Henan province, China. The results showed that both significant these wood properties. Eight grouped into three clusters according to their annual ring width, fiber quality, For some including length, microfibril angle, all displayed same radial variation trends.
